February 2008 was the "go live' for this simple HTML based website. This was a couple of months after i had left Intel. I chose to give up my lucrative but stressful hi-tech job at Intel to peruse a different career and at this stage had no clear idea what.
When my friend Erik came to me wanting a website to launch his new business I willingly obliged. Then being a coder I jumped right in and made a classical static website by coding every page. At least I had the experience to use a Adobe Dreamweaver as the development tool which gave me a common framework for the pages.
Given the website is now almost ten years old, with only address and phone number updates, it would be hard to say it was not a successful website. Like all the websites out there, somebody loves it.
On the plus side, I never worried that this site would be hacked and it does have a really small footprint. It also has forever after insurance, so long as Erik pays the domain name fee, he gets free hosting for life.
Wherever you are Erik (West Coast I think) enjoy my first commercial website.
